Under the Weather

I made a get well card and again used Kathy's "lifting" ink technique behind my bear, which I colored with Copic markers. Added dots around the edges of card.

Stocking Hat Owls

I used a technique I learned in my Day 2 Coloring Class: lifting color with a wash cloth and Copic Colorless Blending solution, to create my sky background around my owls. I colored the owls with Copic markers and colored pencils. I used a white gel pen to add tiny white circles to the embossed snowflake blue card stock and, then, added Stickles glitter to the centers. Kathy, the Coloring Challenge instructor, has inspired me to add more details to my cards...to "Be Fearless" and experiment!

Iris #3

I've been trying to "be Fearless" as our instructor, Kathy, has suggested in "color plucking" colors I wouldn't normally use or put together. On my third stamped iris image, I chose a blue-violet, a peach and a red marker. This was really out of my comfort zone. I, also, used colored pencils to darken nooks and crannies and a white gel pen to highlight the iris.

The Coloring Challenge Road Trip has been such a fun class!

Day 3 Butterflies

This was Day 3 of The Coloring Challenge Road Trip. Today Kathy taught us some ways to use lines and white gel pens. I watercolored 2 butterflies and added lines as Kathy showed us. Then, I drew some circles on my butterflies and added white gel highlights. Another fun class! I was gone all day, so I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked to! Tomorrow is another day!

Day 2 Coloring Challenge Road Trip

Another great class by Kathy's online CCRT class. This is Day 2 and we learned more about "the sweet spot" and Color Mashing. I also learned how to create a textured background by lifting color with wash cloth and Copic Colorless Blending solution.

Here's my card, Horses at Night:

Day 1 Yellow Iris

Colored  a second Iris and am finding this process very addicting!

Day 1 Purple Iris

My photos are turning out kind of dark. I may have to take them in the daylight. I aded some blue green to the iris on the right.

Day 1 Color Plucking and Nooks & Crannies

I stamped my Great Impressions image and colored with a light, medium and dark Copic marker, not from the same color family, as suggested. Flower: RV00, YR04, R89.  Leaves: G20, G17, BG49, G85.

I used Prismacolor pencils for nooks & crannies. I, also, outlined with Micron 03 black pigment pen. This was optional and Kathy, the instructor, used a Sharpie fine line marker.

My photos turned out a bit dark.
